A rogue in Florence, Italy
"Rome was not built in a day."

But this page was. Okay, well I'll grant you, this page doesn't have the marble arches, the Coliseum or the empire spanning the Mediterranean that Rome had, but neither will this site be sacked and looted by a bunch of crazed bloodthirsty Visigoths either. At least I hope not. Then again that might be kind of cool...

Not a lot of new content recently (I've got literally thousands of photos to edit and upload!) but see below for some of the more notable pages. (Watch out for broken links on them though - VirtualTourist changed from HTML to "VTML" format and I've got a lot of catching up to do.)

Also visit the main Farseek web site.
Atlanta - City of Bad Traffic (author's ex-home)

Well, what can I say... Atlanta is a fairly decent place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I used to though until I died of boredom sitting in traffic one day. The reasons to avoid this area all center around (this might come as a shock...) traffic conditions, which range from unbelievably bad to appalling. Visit one of my favorite sites, The Atlanta Roadways Digest (TARD) to see what I'm talking about.
Town Square, Marietta, Georgia
Prior Lake, Minnesota
Minneapolis - City of Bad Weather (author's birthplace)

Well, I spent over 20 years in this place, which isn't bad in the summer (all three weeks of it). In the winter, the place is unfit for human habitation due to temperatures that can reach below -50 degrees Fahrenheit. Still, you can find a lot to do in this town and keep out of the cold if you're resourceful.

Prior Lake is a burb several miles southwest of Minneapolis. Not much reason to visit the place, except to catch a glimpse of the "Prior Ness Monster." According to local legend, this beast is only visible after fishing in the sun all day or drinking half a bottle of Wild Turkey - or both.
Canada - "Take off hoser, eh?"

Ah Canada. Land of hockey and beer. Toronto is a great city which plenty of things to meet and people to do... er well, you know what I mean.

The view of the skyline is from Casa Loma. This is a literal castle built by an eccentric millionaire (who went broke building the place) and former Canadian military man. Inside are a number of interesting rooms, including a vast library that doubled as a party hall, an indoor garden and a hallway flanked by suits of armor.
Toronto, Ontario
El Tajin, Mexico
Mexico - ¡Viva la tequila!

This is a beautiful country with a rich history, stunning natural vistas and, let's face it, some of the best tequila in the world. Ok... some of the only tequila in the world but it's still good.

El Tajin is one of the most outstanding Totonac cities. The Pyramid of the Niches (in the background) is said to represent their calendar. It is located in Papantla, Veracruz, Mexico.
Colorado - Rocky Mountain Home

Lessee here... I racked up about 393 digital photos during a trip of only a week. This will take me a while, but in the meantime here is a photo from the "Garden of the Gods" outside of Colorado Springs. There are some bizarre geological formations here and elsewhere around the state.

From this city park, sandstone towers stretch toward the sky amongst native greenery. In the background lie the Rocky Mountains.

Sandwich, Massachusetts
New England - autumn splendor... and weirdness

Well the next thing you know, the law caught up with me at last. Like their Puritan ancestors, these Massachusetts folks take a dim view on riffraff.

Displayed are the old stocks outside the Dan'l Webster Inn in Sandwich, Cape Cod.
New York City - wherever that is...

This is a small town with not much to do or see. Hahahaha! Ahem. Sorry.

When I went to the Empire State Building (displayed), the line started in the basement and went all the way to the top (well almost). Anyhow, it's worth it for the view, but to be honest, there are plenty of other big buildings in this area you could probably get up with less wait (W. 34th St. & 5th Ave., Manhattan).
