Idar-Oberstein Travel Guide: 20 reviews and 122 photos
We stumbled upon it .. whilst driving the roundway through Idar Oberstein we saw this weird church clamped to a rocky hill, and the remainders of a castle above it. We drove on through, for we were on our way to Herstein, a little village known for its "fachwerk Häuser", houses with patterns of wood on the outside. Herstein however was not as great as we had hoped so we had some time left to find out about the church on the rock.
