<FONT FACE='tekton'SIZE='4'COLOR='800080'>The Europoort in Rotterdam is the world's largest port, with a plethora of huge container ships, continually moored to it's docks. There is also the old historical side of the harbour. It's a fun place to explore, although as it is large in size, it's probably best explored by either bike or car.
Close to it is Hoek van Holland, a nice little village. In Hoek van Holland you can find several museums.
The Coastal Lights Musuem is one of them. It is set up in a lighthouse, built in 1893, about 21 metres high and has 6 floors. The lighthouse was in use up 'till 1974. A permanent collection on the history of lighthouses, models of lighthouses, propan gaslanterns, radio-beacons, buoys and off course photographic material can be found here. From the top of the lighthouse one has a beautiful view over Hoek van Holland and surrounding area.
It is open from May till September, daily open from 1300-1600 hours. The entrance is free, and it cost 1 euro to get a tour.
Some other museums are:
