"Bergen" a Bergen Travel Page by nighthawk

Bergen is a neat little town known for its wooden houses (Brygge) and the boat for either Hanstholm, Denmark or the Hyrtigrytten up north.
Bergen is surrounded by seven mountains which may be the cause of the fact that it seems to rain there often a time.
Not that I noticed though, for both times I was in Bergen temperature was mild and dry.

Since I had a heavy suitcase and a busride of four hours ahead of me I did not go and explore the city. Must say I feared to loose track of time.
So all I got of Bergen are some drive through pictures and a taste of wanting to see more: one day I will go back!

Near the harbour and the old wooden part of town are several new buildings, all located along the water. I also saw a replica of a Viking ship, must be something touristic for it looked quite out of place.
