I was happy to take a drive through Tryon on our way between Lake Lure and Flat Rock. We stopped for a bite to eat (see tip) as well as popped into S Carolina for cheaper gas! (The border to S Carolina is only 2 miles from Tryon!) Lots of cute shops and seems like culture to boot! Stop by.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Remote and pretty
  • Cons:Hard to get to
  • In a nutshell:Worth a visit when doing a day tour of Lake Lure region

Hesitant to call this a Japanese Restaurant and since it is a Local Style Japanese Restaurant (Think Chinese!) it isn't... more travel advice
