I used to visit Germany a lot. Had a boyfriend who lives in Berlin and we would often go into small "Dorfs" or Villages, as we'd say in English. I've been as far southwest as Kehl, North as Rostock/Baltic as far East as Frankfurt Oder, and south as Salzburg. It's a pretty country and I find the people there to be not that different from Americans, although they would be disappointed to hear this. Germans bitsch alot, overall tight w/ money and the women like a red tint to their hair. To be fair, however, they are blessed w/ a good sense of humor (at least Berliners are!) and in general are VERY generous to visitors who appreciate their history and culture.

In a nutshell:Don't Pick up Hitchhikers from Berlin....

Just hearing the worrd "Baltic Beach" sounds cold !!! BTW Patty, if you ever get the chance try dried durian chips... Quite good, and they almost dont even smell bad...

From Bellows Beach to Baltic Beach... Germany is cool but I'll take the south pacific beaches... and sure I'll see you there...!
