"My 1st Cruise on the Disney Wonder went to Nassau!" The Bahamas by Hexepatty
The Bahamas Travel Guide: 2,001 reviews and 4,443 photos
Nassau was our Disney Wonder Cruise FIRST port. It was about as exciting as my FIRST trip to Tijuana.
UGH. Lasted about 40 minutes, and then BACK to the ship.
(I don't need hair braiding, needless to say.)
- Pros:Nice if you have to get your hair braided & have no home girl at home to hook you up w/ extensions....
- Cons:Bad if you used to live on Islands and know what is MISSING!
- In a nutshell:Go - but w/ BIG caution....

A pity that hair braiding is the main tourist thing to do-- Good tip.
There's plenty to do in the Bahama's, besides getting one's hair braided. Think SCUBA.
good informative page.
It was BO DEREK who started the whole frenzy! I see I can skip Nassau on my next Caribbean jaunt (that is, unless painting pretty flowers on my toe and fingernails is included in the deluxe braid package!) ;-)
I wish I had enough left to braid! lol
Venezuelans can contribute to the Bahamian economy too...!
Great tip! :-)
I got an idea for my pony-tail!!!!
Fantastic photos Patty.. Do you think I should get mine done when I come??? ;-))
Great pictures of the hair braiding.
