When Mr Bigg Calls...

On Wednesday night... 11pm... Mr Bigg calls from NY and says, "What are you doing this weekend?"

I replied... "Not much... gotta babysit for some friends Saturday night. Why?!"

Mr Bigg blurts out, "Meet me in Puerto Rico!"

Again, I counter with, "Man... I'm unemployed. You know I'm busted. Plus, I promised my friends I'd take care of their baby."

Mr Bigg : "Find a baby sitter... I'll pay for your ticket!"

Pause.... Pause..... Pause....

Patty: "See you at SJU on Friday around 2pm!"

I'm FLEXIBLE!

The Humble Beginnings of a quick trip toPR...

You could see the beach from the bedroom!

Keep in mind Mr Bigg and I "Go Back, since the day of mood rings and click-clacks!"

Well, maybe not THAT far back, but Mr Bigg WAS my 80s; my first love. Hooking up with him, so to speak, for a weekend was a blast from the past. It was as if the years in between were never there. Friends for life, he and I.

In Short....

Bed with a view.

I got there on a Friday afternoon and departed on that Sunday Afternoon... It was a quick trip, but fun!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Nice water temps. Beaches aren't too crowded
Cons:No mountains near the beach. Not Hawaii, but cool for what it is.
In a nutshell:It's certainly close to Florida!

I will be heading to Puerto Rico in May, thanks for the 4-11 on the beaches excellent tips which are still applicable even after several years. But I suppose Mr Bigg is no longer someone you dash off and meet in PR anymore, eh?
