    • Cape Town has been plagued by violence in the past several years. The radical Muslim vigilante group PAGAD (people against gangsters and drugs) has bombed several popular restaurants frequented by tourists, including the Planet Hollywood at the V&A Waterfront. As long as you stay in the nicer parts of town, you shouldn't have any problems, but be leary of suspicious packages left unattended in restaurants or on sidewalks.
