You don't have to worry about the nightlife in Amsterdam, there is a lot! I mostly don't stay overnight in Amsterdam, so I don't have so many tips for you. I am mostly here during the day and early evening, and I mostly forget which place I have been to. But I have some pictures of the two pubs I went to during the VT meeting in Amsterdam :
Tara's pub :
During the VT meeting we had dinner & drinks at Tara's pub (at Rokin). It is an Irish pub, and I thought it was great! So much atmospere, I loved it. Next time I am in Amsterdam, and I am looking for a pub, I will certainly go back here again! You can eat here also, there is a small list of English pub food, and it tasted quite good.
In the picture you can see Anita (La_Holandesa) hiding behind the menu card.
The Tara

The Tara is a huge Irish pub centrally loacted just off Dam Square on the Rokin. Its a very popular place for watching football and other sports on their big screens. It has 3 bars, open fire places and pool tables.

During the VT-meeting in Amsterdam we went to this pub/brewery : the Maximiliaan. In the picture you can see the group get into the pub.
From left to right : Mirella (Mirellaboer), Roelien (Nighthawk), Sandra (SandravdP), Salman (Capricorn) and Peter (PeterV)
I had a great time here and the beer tasted good.... hahaha, If I can trust on the opinion of the other VT'ers. I am not a beer lover myself, so I let the tasting of it up to them :-)
