Fresh made sandwiches and a good cup of coffee! Although... good coffee???... a cup of 'real Canadian' coffee is maybe a better description, LOL Canadians don't drink their coffee very strong, so be prepared for that when ordering a coffee. 'Tim Hortons' is a 'name' in Ontario. Lot of people always start the day with a stop at the Tim Hortons on their way to work to pick up a coffee and a doughnut. Is the food so special.... mmmmm, maybe not. Hahaha, but it is a great place to stop on your travels and you are craving for a fresh made sandwich, a dougnut or a bowl of soup. It's quick, it's filling and it's everywhere you go. We only have the McDonalds in my former homecountry.... argggghh, I wish they had the Tim Hortons! It is great to be able to buy fresh made sandwiches while you are travelling, and not only have one option : hamburgers and fries
Favorite Dish: Hot tea, medium, double sugar, bag out. With a Turkey Breast Sandwhich on white bread with no sauce :-)

A restaurant we really enjoyed is the Outback Steakhouse. This is a chain of restaurants, located mainly in the USA, but also in Canada. I went to the one in Niagara Falls. The restaurant was conveniently located next to our hotel, so a good choice for us. But I would make the detour to go here as well.
It has as a theme the rustic Australian Outback. I liked it so much because of course of its good quality food, reasonable prices, but also its relaxed atmosphere and great service. It can be busy here though, so you might have to wait for a while before you table is ready. We had to wait for a while, but I didn't mind. We sat at the bar for a little while, nice and cosy, ordered a beer and a nice drink, relaxed, and before we knew it our table was ready. It was actually a great to start off with and enjoy our pre-dinner drink :-)
You can order anything from seasoned steaks, prime rib, chops, ribs, chicken, seafood and pasta. But remember not to order too much side-dishes. The main menu is already so much food that you probably won't be able to eat it all otherwise.
