It is always a great excuse to travel.... a VT meeting! I went to the VT-meeting in Innsbruck on the 22nd of March 2002, and like all the VT meetings I have been to, this one was great again!
It was only a small group of friends that met, but I had a wonderful time!
It was such a shame that Globetrotter couldn't make it because of the aweful weather. He had to return halfway the journey back home, because it was impossible to get to Innsbruck. I hope we get another chance to meet some day Michael!
On the Friday evening I met Åke (Akeke) and Hanna (Tabatha) in a brewpub in centre of Innsbruck. I had such a good laugh there!
The next day, I met Åke, Paula (Goingplaces) together with three of her friends. In the morning we had a guided tour through the Altstadt, and in the afternoon a visit to the Ambras Castle.
I have to thank Åke for organizing this meeting, because I had a great time. It was a wonderful way to see Innsbruck, and of course meet some great VT'ers.
The only disappointing thing was the weather :-(
But I survived with a warm coat and umbrella, hahaha. After the meeting I travelled to Germany, to escape from the cold weather, looking for some spring weather and sunshine.... arghhh, no luck though! The winter and snow seemed to travel with me on my journey. But that is enough complaining about the weather, hahaha, please read on, and have a look what Innsbruck has to offer.

I will pass through Innsbruck in July while going to Augsburg (near Munchen) by train. Why didn't you write how to reach Innsbruck by train? Good page, of course!
