Petrozavodsk is a small and beautiful town - the capital of Karelia. It is situated on a coast of Onego Lake - the second lake in Europe by size.
By scientist opinions, Laplander tribes had lived on Onego coasts formerly and then they gave a name to this like.
Now Petrozavodsk is a harbor of five seas.
From here is paved the waterway to many ports of the world.
Though a great many commercial ships sail here, Onego Lake still belongs to the purest lakes of our country.
The best time to travel is autumnal and summer.
