I live here, so for me it's just ok. I have friends here and I'm comfortable here, but I like to travel. I'll try to indicate what I think might be of interest to a visitor but it's hard when you live in the place.

For anyone visiting from the Euro Zone, cuuency conversion is a non starter which is pretty brilliant.
I think, that from the point of a tourist, travelling within the Euro Zone, the Euro is one of the best things to happen. You can see price comparisons immediately. Unfortunately for visitors to Dublin that may not be an enyoyable experience. For visitors from outside the Euro Zone they must, unfortunately, put up with conversion rates and commission.
