Hello and welcome to my travels.
I hope you enjoy them and find them helpful.
The picture on my member info page is my dog, named Sooty.
He's nicer looking than me and he's the best reason to come home.
That photo was taken about 4 years ago but he hasn't really changed a lot.
I have been asked why I don't put my picture here. I don't have a lot of photos of myself, but if anyone REALLY wants to see what I look like, you can see me in my Amsterdam pages.
Travel is my main interest. So far I have only visited two places outside Europe - Bermuda in 2004 and South Africa in 2008. I hope to visit every county in Europe eventually. Then I will look farther afield.
In the last few years’ travel in Europe has become really very affordable, thanks to the European low cost carriers and this has meant more frequent trips.

Many VT Members have made nice comments about my dog, Sooty.
Well, I have acquired a second one and for those VT members who like dogs as well as travel, I post a photo of them.
They are, of course, Sooty & Sweep.

This little Westie is called Ferdinand.
He is no relation of Sooty or Sweep.
He belongs to the owner of the Griechenbeisl Restaurant & Erdinger Stuberl in Vienna.
He was lovely little fellow and I thought a photo of him here would fit in here nicely.

My other passion is cooking. But cooking with a travel aspect.
When I visit a country I always bring back some cookery books of local cuisine and then we have meals from that country.
In a way it prolongs the experience of travel
