Western Australia - Perth.
Perth, the capital city of the State, is home to 1.38 million people and enjoys more hours of sunshine than any other capital city in Australia. Sophisticated yet uncomplicated, the lifestyle in Western Australia is a relaxed one. It is the modern, and cosmopolitan, with pristine beaches just minutes away from the city. The beach is an integral part of life for the million or so people who live there.
There is so much more to Western Australia than Perth though.
To the north of the capital lie the famous Pinnacles and in season the wild flower carpets. Further north still is Monkey Mia, famous for the dolphins that come into shore to socialise. South is the Margaret River with its forests, and Albany with its rugged dramatic coastline.
If you drive inland for 6 hours you will find yourself in Kalgoorie, one of the main mining towns in Western Australia situated in the middle of the desert.
