Shiva was flying over the Indian Ocean. He had the Ganga river on his head. While going down to rest on one of the island, few drops fell down from the Ganga and have created a small lake in the island. The island was Mauritius and the lake is Gran Basin which is a very holy place for Hindus out side India. Mauritius is a wonderful island with many sides. The Saga dance and music are the heritage of slavery days in the island during colonial times. |
