The Masai Boy and the "Black Dune" The Ngorongoro crater is a nature wonder in it self. What used to be a huge volcano exploded into a huge complete caldera, one of its kind on earth. Inside there is a close ecosystem where you will find many kind of animals. The Masai people are living in this area herding their cows. On the way from Ngorongoro to the Serengeti you can find a small black dune made from volcanic black sand. In 1999 I was part of a film production there. The dune was a great location. A Masai boy joined us for the filming and we filmed him walking with Gidi Gov - the star of the film - along the dune. I really love this photo. |
