Cocktails for the tourist

When you walk the boulevard in Playa del Carmen you can spot a lot of little pubs - bars - cafe's. And the funny thing is they all have cocktails outside their door. Now that isnt bad, but you should drink from everyone you see, cause then you are not feeling well at all, while you have just spend 10 minutes in Playa. Remember that this drink is there since the morning and you never know what an other tourist has done with it!

Peter with wooden man

At the beginning or the end (depending of which way you come) of the boulevard there is a little shopping center. A woodcraftman has been busy making this nice wooden man. But as you can see this man isnt wearing any clothes...... Our friend Peter is helping the Mexicans to keep this shoppingcenter Kids-safe.

Telephone in Playa

If there is a need for you to keep in touch with the homefront or the office, make sure you dont use a telephone of the hotel. Its so expensive that you have to skip the other days of your holiday.
Just go into the village of Playa del Carmen and you can make a call with one of the many telephones that you can find there for a much cheaper rate.

Garlic dip in Playa (Jaguar)

Eating in a real Mexican restaurant is something you HAVE to do. Well we did! We had a lovely meal with a lot of nice food. One of the things we got was this garlic-dip. It was lovely but days after eating it we still didnt like to be into the neighbourhood of one an other (while we all have been eating it)..... so i bet the people who DIDNT ate it where even more frigned to see us....and what about speak with us.....so not a good thing if you wanna make new friends !

Roads in Playa del Carmen

If you rent a car and start driving your self in a strange country you should always pay more attention then you normally do. But if you see these on your way to Playa del Carmen you make sure that you let go of the gashandle.
They sure do what they are suppose to do...sloooooooooooooooooooow you down.

Police office in open air

All along the way we saw these little houses and there was a police officer in it. They will give information to the tourists and maybe to the locals too.
On the website you can see the do's and don't 's so you better be aware before you go and / or rent a car.
