"Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and the rest... " a Nottinghamshire Travel Page by Plendil

I live on the border of Derbyshire neighbouring the county of Nottinghamshire. Most places I have visited are located in Derbyshire and the Peak District.
I think this naturally beautiful area is omitted from many tourists itinerary, but there are wonderful places and things to see around here and I hope I will soon be able to show you around!

My travels also include many a vacation on the canals and rivers as at one time we were lucky enough to own our own boat. Our friends had a narrowboat and we often used to be found afloat (and sometimes not, but that's another story.) For more information about boating, take a look at my Oxford pages.

If there is anywhere in Derbyshire you need information on, then please feel free to contact me and ask me your questions. I will do my best to help you in any way I can.

Please remember that a lot of these places are not in Nottinghamshire but I'll provide the individual location so you don't become too confused!
