    • Well, special for me is that my grandmother wove a carpet for the floor in the 1930's... :-)
    Otherwise, originally constructed in 1662, the church was rebuilt in 1715 after a strack of lightning burnt it to the ground. Its interiors are darker than usual and it is not unusual that visitors believe it to be a roman catholic church because of this, according to church staff.

    Directions: The church is centrally located in the town, with a great view over the surroundings. If you stand at Möljen square, you will spot it on the opposite side of the water.

    • Unspoiled nature, hidden spots, beaches, wildlife...
    The coast between Furuvik and Gnarp is called the Virgin Coast. More than 500 small islands. Travel alongside it, visit the village,s for example Mellanfjärden, Hårte and Sörfjärden, old fishing communities.

    • Dont miss strolling on the main shopping street of Hudiksvall, Storgatan. But, remember good shopping os to be found in the bigger cities. Here you go for the atmosphere mostly. But if you are lucky, the strawberries-salesmen are out, the you can buy locally grown strawberries.

    • Visit the preserved farmhouses around the county of Hälsingland. There are around 41 locations open for tourists.
    These farmhouses have been restaured on order to show the way of life in the old days.
    Furniture, tools etc have been carefully assembled through auctions all over the county. It is beautiful and interesting. A living link to history one might say!
    If you don't have the opportunity to visit the farmhouses on location in the county of Hälsingland, there are some in oper-air museum of Skansen in Stockholm.
