Cars, people, rickshaws, baby taxis, donkeys, dogs, cats and more
fight for space in the streets of Dhaka.
It can be an exhausting experience.
Some of the photos were taken during Hartal days, when motordriven vehicles were forbidden. That makes everything look very peaceful...
But then, Dhaka is also, in my mind, a very nice city. People are friendly, and offer help if you need it. We weren't exactly fluent in Bangla (to say the least), but somehow someone alwayas managed to find someone who knew english, and we could make ourselves understood, despite our lack of multilingualism.
And another thing. What is it with the Passport- and Immigration Office anyway? My friend had to go there about eleven times to get her exit permit. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Very interesting page and destination - somewhat exotic for me ;-)
Thanks Maline. India always looks like such a great adventure and now I have much more of your pages to check out. We have electricity now... but I quite liked it without :-) It reminded me of travelling. Cheers!
