"Clinton Route 66 Museum" Clinton by MaryCollier
Clinton Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 14 photos
The lobby was full of items to bring back memories for the Route 66 era. Interesting cars, signs, and advertising items. One fun thing was a display where you can have your picture taken behind the window of a car made to look as if it is going down Route 66.
I thought the displays about the actual building of the road in the 1920's was very interesting. The machinery used then was very primitive compared to today's road building machinery.
Route 66 encouraged the rapid growth of the trucking industry.
- In a nutshell:Nice stop along Interstate 40
