PRIVET, (hello)
Ever since I was a child I always had a fascination with Russia. I grew up in the 80s were the Russians were our enemies. We had our finger on the button and so did they.
I always wanted to know what was true or just propaganda. I regret I never went to Moscow when it was behind the
"IRON CURTAIN" but I still wanted to learn more about the Russian people.
So... I went.
All I found was that the Russian people were the most warm hearted people I have ever met. Moscow was beautiful and the weather was warm. Not like in those cold war movies we grew up with.
I felt my whole trip was a dream. Being in a once forbiden land. Now an American
standing in RED SQUARE looking at the KREMLIN and ST. BASILS CATHEDRAL on May first. Who would have thought?
I hope you enjoy my page. I will try to separate fact from fiction. I will also try to stay away from politics, but it will be hard to do. To sum it all up
The Cold war is OVER! long live pease!
ZA MIR
NOTE: The photo above is me at the Communist ralley outside KREMLIN.
