Trondheim,my kinda town! 3rd largest and oldest city in Norway, but by far the most beautyful. The city broke the 150 000 citizen mark Oct.16 2000.
Trondheim, or Nidaros as it used to be called, was the first capital of Norway. The Sagas tell us how King Olav Tryggvason of Viking fame founded the city by the mouth of the River Nid in 997.
Today Trondheim is also a modern, hi-tec city. The Norwegian University of Science and Technology is at the heart of a research milieu that ranks among Europe's foremost centres of technology. There are 25000 students in the city,so there a no problem finding a party! As we all know, students rarely have time for other things than drinking...
You'll find the people of Trondheim friendly and sociable. It's a very hospitable city, with its doors wide open to the world. Blablabla...
It's the city where I was born, broke my first leg, got laid first(to much info?), got drunk first, got my drivers lisence, my first job, everything!!!
Don't know what you've got 'till it's gone...
The bridge in the picture is called The Gate of Fortune, or the Gate of Happiness,or only Bybrua. Your choice. My bridge.
