This hotel built in 1987 is located at the central crossing has been renovated.
At present many rooms on the 11th and other floors are rented to different companies.
There are hotel rooms on the 4th-10th floors.
There are usual rooms for us locals starting with 150 UAH ($30) a day and suites from 300 UAH a day ($60).
You can also have an apartment suite for $160 there.
There is Seventh Heaven Chinese cafe on the 7th floor where you can have your breakfast. The cafe is run by a man from China and offers a lot of seafood dishes.

Unique Qualities: Proximity to all main sites of the city, great views from the windows.
This is the highest building in the city: 65 m (213 ft) high.
There is Pernik restaurant, one of the oldest central restaurants in the city, next to the hotel and a cafeteria on the 2nd floor where you can have your brerakfast (10 UAH, included into the room price).
The restaurant was called so in honor of the Bulgarian city of Pernik, a twin-city of Luhansk.

Lugansk hotel is located at the central crossing at 76 Sovetskaya Street. (on the picture here)
It's the highest building in the city: 213 ft high (19 floors).
Now more and more rooms are rented by companies for there are few guests in this hotel.
You can have a room located at the floor from 4 to 10 where they have finished repairs. I know there is Room 601 (right) with all amenities (except air-conditioning: the new owners are just collecting money for that).
The guests just open the windows and have a fan ventilator in the room.
My friend who stayed there said it was too loud and tye barking stray dogs in the yard interfered with his ellep.

Unique Qualities: Lugansk hotel: downtown location, a nice view from the roof, bar, offices of many companies.

Many of my friends have stayed at this hotel and I have often visited it and seen all the amenities they have and offer.

Unique Qualities: This is a downtown hotel located not far from the central crossing and having different suites at its disposal.
All rooms are air-conditioned, there is a cafe bar, a parking lot, a sauna called Camelot and located in the basement.
They also offer good massage service , a restaurant with a terrace and live music.

This hotel has acquired more amenities of late: a sauna (“Camelot”), two conference rooms: on the ground floor (for 70 participants) and on the 8th floor (for 20 participants), PVC windows and doors, VIP apartments, the Italian restaurant “Little Italian Yard” is being extended, etc.

Initial hotel at 118-a Oboronnaya St. is the nearest to the airport.
It is located 15 km / 9.3 miles from the airport and 3.7 miles from the city center.
There is a restaurant and an open-air cafe, a conference room and a parking lot.
The prices are quite reasonable:
a two-room suite would cost you UAH 370 (around $75);
or another one such room : UAH 300;
a standard suite - UAH 220;
and a bed in a standard room costs UAH 170, 150 (double-bed room)

Unique Qualities: two-room luxury suites, European and Ukrainian cuisine at the restaurant, digital cinema and a bar to the left of the entrance hall.

There are lots of ads in the local newspapers about renting an apartment.
The price varies from $25 to $50 and up, the former being a normal local apartment and the latter being a suite like that at a hotel or a detached house.
The apartments have usually two rooms like the one on the picture, air-conditioning, a kitchen, a balcony, etc.
This one is in "Gorodok", not far from Heroes Square. It is located on the ninth floor, but is quite cozy and was suitable for my friend whom I helped find it. Only the entrance and the elevator left much to be desired as to their cleanliness.
It cost my friend Tom from Los Angeles $25 a day and he was quite satisfied.

A fiend of mine was staying at this apartment in Heroes Square and enjoyed his stay there.
It was very spacious - the picture shows the sitting room - for the owners rebuilt a three-room apartment into a two-room one.
Of course, there is too little furniture there, but there are all modern conveniences.
My friend had to pay $30 a day in 2004 (now it's $55); the reservation fee was the same sum.

The apartment is close to Heroes Square, the city's central square, there is a self-service cafe in the same block and a big store across the road, the cabs are waiting just round the corner and what not...
So you feel a local with your own keys, kitchen and what not.
The bedroom was very spacious, too: just a wardrobe for your things.
the window faced Kotsiubinsky Street.
My friend liked cooking his country's national dishes sometimes and he could cook for his friends and invite them for lunch to his apartment: just like us, locals
(the apartment is at 7 Heroes Square).

This small hotel occupies only one floor at the building of the former dormitory not far from Oboronnaya and Sovietskaya Street.
The hotel has nice rooms, among them two two-room suites. The rooms are air-conditioned and have all modern conveniences.
They accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro.
My friends stayed there and were quite satisfied.

Unique Qualities: There is also a small café bar with four tables where you have your meals. The café bar is open round the clock.
The hotel has also a parking lot.
The only thing is to reserve your room well in advance.

The hotel is located in a high-rise building adjacent to the railway station. It has rooms on the sixth and on the eighth floors. Room 800 and Room 801 are suites. Room 800 consists of two rooms. The price is moderate: about $40 a day.
You can get to the hotel, if you leave the railway station building towards the overpass and go down the steps where the cab drivers offer you their service and then turn left. You will see a glass door of that building: hotel and business center.
On the pictures: a $30 room on the 6th floor where my American friend stayed a couple of days.

My American friend Jack stayed at this new hotel for several days and he was kind enough to take me around.
The hotel rooms are far from being cheap, the most expensive one is about $200 a day, but it has a sauna and another suite has a jakuze.
The rooms are not too spacious, but are always reserved.
So if you are willing to stay in the Old Town, this hotel is the best variant.
There is a cafe in the inner yard and a supermarket on the groundfloor.

Unique Qualities: a suite with a jakuzi and a suitre with its own sauna...

This is a new private hotel dedicated less than a year ago.
I did not stay here yet, not did my foreign friends coming to Luhansk, but I would like to recommend this place to them and to you, fellow travelers.

Unique Qualities: It is very close to the bus terminal, "Furchet" trade center and the Chapel of Philip of Luhansk (if you are an Orthodox pilgrim, this place is for you :-).
The hotel has two semi suites with king size beds;
five two-bed rooms,
two three-bed rooms.
The rooms have all modern conveniences including AC.
