"Mayachok" (Little Beacon) beer bar, Moscow Avenue - Rubizhne

"Mayachok" (Little Beacon) beer bar, Moscow Avenue

Little Beacon: Moscow Avenue Bar

One day I happened to walk nearby and dropped in at this beer bar for the first time in my life.
In fact, I used to pass it lots of times by bus on my way home, but it had never occurred to me to just drop in and have a bite there.
The bar is a family enterprise. It is favorite among many locals who live not only across the street, but also those arrive here by mopeds and bikes.
The bar has seven tables and, as Andy, the bar owner, told me they are often occupied by his regular customers.
Little Beacon has a long bar, but no high chairs attached to it since it has never been our custom to occupy those bar chairs and to sit there.
The customers can ask Joan the bartender, who is Andy's wife, to play their favorite music for them or they can choose it independently at the music box.
Do not forget to order a cab back home: it's too far to walk back to the main street.

Favorite Dish: Chernihiv beer and some dried fish to it.

"Gourmand" cafe, Moscow Avenue, Rubizhne - Rubizhne

"Gourmand" cafe, Moscow Avenue, Rubizhne

Gourmand: Moscow Avenue Cafe

This is a nice cafe located on the northern outskirts in a quiet area in Moscow Avenue.
The cafe has a splendid decor, a good menu and affable staff.
There is one large hall with a dancing floor and two half-floors: an upper one and a lower one.
They have two VIP rooms: a red one and a green one; a dancing floor, a huge fish tank and a terrarium with two iguanas.
There is a room for American Pool, too.

The café is open from 11 a.m. until the last customer leaves

Favorite Dish: I haven’t ordered any dishes, but the cook says their customers keep telling the staff all their dishes are delicious and nice. They cook home style.
Also, they offer sushi, fondue, different pizzas, salads and hot dishes to your taste.

"Den" sports bar, Mendeleyev Street, Rubizhne

Beer Loga: Sports Bar

This restaurant is located in the area of Fanat store at 7a Mendeleyev Street.
It has a nice quiet area with several apartment houses.
It's a local sports bar where you can enjoy lots of different matches, not necessarily dine and have alot of meals.
The bar's name implies den. Its decor is rather strict and simple.
There is a white screen in the middle where soccer matches are shown.
Most of the customers only order drinks and snacks here.
I don't think they have a kitchen there.
My brother and I only had some beer with snacks.
Well, I would recommend this spot for a change.
Of course, there are several other good places downtown.
Just explore and enjoy!
Have fun, fellow travelers!

@ "Beer" bar, Rubizhne, Luhansk region, Ukraine - Rubizhne

@ "Beer" bar, Rubizhne, Luhansk region, Ukraine

Bee: Local Beer Bar

I have discovered this pub recently when I went there with my friends.
This must be the only "cowboy" cafe in Rubizhne.
Everything about the decor reminds you of the "Wild West" times.
They even have a "leather map" of America that is nice to look at and to study while you are having your beer...
There are two halls in this cafe and the space is rather tight.
You have to sit practically back-to-back with your neighbor at the next table, which can lead to unpredictable consequences that depend on the degree of drunkenness of your neighbor who might not like how you "lean against his back" or anything else.
In other words, the small space here is ideal for some of my fellow countrymen who wish to pick up a fight. I felt that once, but left the cafe in time.
The hall with the bar is used to play pool.

Favorite Dish: This bar can easily become your local like it did with me.
This is the only place that I frequent now during my visits to Rubizhne.
The Ukrainian draft beer is great here: Rogan Monastery beer (5.7 %).

Address: 27 Lenin Street

Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: walk past Lenin Street open air market next to Lastochka store,
it will be to your left.

This place is ideal for a nice corporate party or any party with a bunch of friends. It has a dancing floor and eighth tables with sofas.
All in all about sixty customers can celebrate here at the same time.
We had a remembrance lunch here one day. So our reason of visiting this place was not rejoicing.
