School exchange in 1990 My first visit to Paris was awful. I was there in a student exchange programm, with my class. I was staying in a guest family... the mother called me Laurent because she was unable to say my name, everything I would have liked to visit (like the Louvre), they did not go to with me... as I said, awful. Fortunatly, the following year, I managed it to stay away from there. I know, that has nothing to do with Paris itself, but bad experiences stay in mind. |
Back to Paris in 2002 Well, I went back because my ex-wife absolutely wanted to visit Paris. So we went there in october 2002, and all my tips and comments are based on this trip. At least I can say that this time the experience was much better than my first trip. (What in fact was not difficult !!) |
Back for good...in october 2005 Just came back and new tips and photos will start coming online in the next days. This time, Paris was different. Still it is a big dirty city, but I am in the middle of a divorce and went there now with someone new... So even a city I do not like that much can show a nice and friendly face! And perhaps, I was in other corners of the city, especially the Moulin Rouge was great. If you ever come to Paris, that is a spot not to miss. Great show, great dinner...great place.
