I don't currently live in the small city of Sylva, North Carolina, but have before, and visit often. A city in the Blue Ridge Mountains, it's neighbors are Asheville to the East (1 hour), and Knoxville to the West (2 hours). The city was founded in 1892, and is a lovely mountain town. There are grocery stores, a tiny movie theater, a small church, and a lovely main street area. The population is very small. There is plenty to do in the area around here, so don't shy away! Summer has come late for us but it is finally here and so are some of the pictures I've taken of the flowers in and around my mountain home, I hope you enjoy them.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Peace, good trout fishing, and lots to do
Cons:Nobody around, not much nightlife
