I started my 5 week solo-backpacking adventure in Germany, when I arrived in Frankfurt on the 28th of March. I planned on being in Prague two days after my arrival, so on the way over, I took three stops in German cities. They were Wurzburg, Bamberg, and Nurnburg. They were great! Then, after seeing Prague, Budapest, and Austria, I came back to Munich, but due to terrible weather conditions and full hostels, I was forced to leave for Switzerland. After that, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, and France, I returned to Munich on a long night train from Paris. I stayed there in the heavy snow for two days, seeing the Dachau concentration camp and the Bavarian castles on day-trips. Then I started my journey to Frankfurt, and let me tell you, it was a long one. I had a week and two days before I departed, so I first went to the city of Ulm, then over for two days in tranquil Tubigen, then up and over to Trier, then up to Cochem, Cologne, and Koblenz, then down the Rhine river from Koblenz to Bacharach. Then it was over to Frankfurt for my last day/night. Wow! Germany is great because of the diversity you'll find in each of the different regions. The language is different, the buildings, food, and it's quite fun.
