Getting TO/AROUND: If you intend to fly into Toronto, you'll probably be landing into Lester B. Pearson International Airport, which is actually far, far away in Mississauga. (It's actually not that far distance-wise at 27km from downtown, but add in the wonderful T.O. region traffic and it could take hours) For a more fun, downtown landing try and get a flight to the downtown airport; you'll probably be seated in a 30-person plane and as you land, you feel like you're going for a crash course into Lake Ontario. Family Fun From the airport, there's a ferry that crosses the water and ta-da! you're a 5$ cab-ride away from Union Station and downtown Toronto! Can you see the tiny little plane about to land? I think that time it actually missed the airport, went back up, and started again:)

Suzanne123 Mon Oct 13, 2003 03:29 UTC TO has wealth, but also poverty with a large homeless population. TO needs more money because there is none. TTC is without a repairs budget, and 50% of the water pipes are more than 50 years old. We have no direct TTC to York U, or to the airport! | misakitaguchi Mon Feb 3, 2003 13:11 UTC Canada....what a nice country!! I love Canada's flag very much! | kenHuocj Mon Sep 16, 2002 09:46 UTC a fun page - historically, Tornot's gain was Montreal's loss ;-((( or ;-))) | MarioAlmeida Tue Aug 20, 2002 11:25 UTC My favourite city after lisbon..Very good tips |
