Hmm... I just deleted my previous homepage because it was nearly exactly a year old -- I was describing the SARS concert! But I'm not quite sure what else I can put here.

It's weird rereading some of this stuff. I haven't logged on in forever because it makes me sick to my stomach to think that I won't be able to go anywhere for a long* while. When I would visit vt a lot I often got the impression that those who did crazy amounts of travel did so for competitive reasons, rather than because they felt they would die if they didn't travel. I travel for the latter reason and I'm not feeling so hot these days, I gotta tell ya.

Anyway, my next trip isn't so much a trip as it is a chance to get away / meet the parents. My boyfriend is from Upper-Armpit, Ontario. So, I'm going up North -- did you know you can drive 22 hours and still be in the same province? -- and soaking in the rays. And the black flies, I'm sure. That's OK: I intend to wear so much DEET that my children will be born deformed. You gotta do what you gotta do, and they'll be taking one for the team.

Anyways, Sioux Lookout, Pickle Lake, Dryden, etc... here I come. I hope you've stocked booze, sun screen, and DEET for me. I intend on doing nothing unless it involves one of those three things.

Maybe I'll check in on VT sooner than later. I can't really look at others' travel pages anymore because it makes me feel restless and unhappy, but it still does kind of feel like home.
