Getting TO/AROUND: I arrived by Austrian Airlines from Moscow (also possible by Aeroflot), 2.5 hours flight, very precise schedule, landed exactly at 16:45! I suppose you can arrive by any major airline from most of the big cities. Train or car is also an option. Vienna has a very convenient metro system, or 'U-Bahn'. Also, buses or trams (Strassbahn). Loved it! You buy tickets either 1 ride (1.30 Euro, as far as I remember it is valid for 1 hour), or 24 hours, or 72 hours, they are valid for all kind of city transportation, including metro, Schnellbahn, buses and trams. Before entering the U-Bahn you must validate your ticket in a small blue automate that is found at the entrance. Same automates are installed in the buses and trams.
