Restaurant Name: Various
Cafe Demel, Cafe Central, Hotel Sacher (where they possess the original recipe of Sachertorte) - all in central Vienna, also Gloriette in Schoenbrunn are definitely places for those who like desserts. For those who do not - you will find plenty of other places to eat. If you just need a non-expensive snack in between sightseeing, I would suggest such places as Wienerwald (Annagasse 3, also in other places), or self-service Roserberger (Maysedergasse 2).
Favorite Dish: For me, Vienna was associated with Schnitzel (no Michael, I do not like it coated, but uncoated its just excellent!), Strudel, Mozartkugeln, and coffee. I was never a big fan of coffee, or of desserts, but I should say that I liked some of them! Linzertorte with its hazelnuts and cinnamon is the best! Also I liked Milchrahmstrudel, served hot with sweet milk sauce. Those who like chocolate cakes (including myself!) will like Sachertorte.
