The Bled Castle which is perched over the city and lake of Bled makes both a wonderful place to sample some fine view of the surrounding area.

Couldn't resist the perfect frame this window made on the island in the middle of Lake Bled.

Some of the views from the castle are quite striking. We arrived on a fairly clear day, with only slight dusting of clouds and some haze. When we were in Bled last spring, the clouds and haze were so bad we could barely see the opposite side of the lake.

This is really a lovely area and that castle perched in the middle of the lake is awesome. What a fabulous souvenir to have.
