"Czersk, Masovian Castle and Religious ceremonies" Czersk by Martin_S.

Czersk Travel Guide: 4 reviews and 19 photos

After the big VT meeting in Krakow we went to visit our friend Daria in Warsaw. Wonderful gal that she is she took time out to drive us not only around Warsaw, but also took us on a fantastic trip to the city of Czersk where the Masovian Dukes had built a castle. You can see Zohara and Daria at the entrance to the park. The park itself is accessed through the entrance to the local church.

I must admit that I had not heard of the Masovian Dukes before Daria told us that she would be taking us to visit, so had to do a little searching on the internet.....

The photo shows the main entrance.

As luck would have it as we arrived at the entrance (both for church and castle), we encountered some sort of local religious ceremony. We had no idea what they were celebrating, but we enjoyed the parade for about 30 minutes before we could enter the castle.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Place of the Masovian Duke castle
  • Cons:Not much else there
  • In a nutshell:If you enjoy castles in beautiful settings then go.

Martin, lovely little page here. Although I have been to Poland about 6 times, I have never really heard about Czersk.
