Chocoffee: Chocoffee, sweet and spicy

Chocoffee offers you coffee, but also some homemade chocolates and the hot chocolate was to die for, creamy and rich. Now that I think about it, those chocolates, especially the ones with chili peppers were great (those were the Red Baron ones you see on the plate, be careful they bite back). If you are on a diet, just walk by the door and do not even think of entering, just the thought will add calories, but they ARE so good.
This place was just up the street from our B&B the Unikat.

Favorite Dish: Take a look at their website, it is in Polish, but look for "Produkty", then scroll through those scrumptious chocolates, there are translations into English there about what they contain.

A.Blickle: A.Blickle coffeehouse

Coffeehouse and bakery. We found this just up the street from the Unikat, our B&B.
After taking a siesta from walking the streets of Krakow, we passed by the Blickle and stopped when we caught some good smells coming out of the door and decided to have a coffee break before we returned to our tour. It is a good thing we did, we both thoroughly enjoyed the pastries we sampled. The coffee was okay, not exceptional, but then the pastries were the best.

Bar Mleczny: Bar Mleczny, simple and good Bar mleczny Review

Don't recall if we had read about the Bar Mleczny here in Krakow or if one of the VTers from the meet pointed it out, but along with Chiara and Alex we decided to try it out. We found this one in the old city center of Krakow. Bar Mleczny I was told means "milk bar", now we did not see any milk, but we did see and smell food....
Very simple, just a single menu on the wall (only in Polish), you take what you want and then pay before finding a seat at the small tables. No fancy napkins or tablecloths, just a plain empty table. BUT, yes there is a but here, the food was very tasty and filling and very inexpensive. Since we could not read the menu, we just pointed at what we wanted.

Figa z Makiem: Figa z Makiem for the Wild Boar Stew

Had lunch/dinner with Hansi and Lori here. It is, or was, a very quiet dining room, with the noise of the centers streets shut out, a nice place to enjoy a meal with friends. Simply appointed, not fancy by any means, but I think comfortable would best describe it. Menus in English which is a plus.

Favorite Dish: Zohara enjoyed a "Chicken in Tomato Sauce"
Martin LOVED the "Wild Boar Stew"....
