Maastricht could be called a "border" town, it borders on Belgium on its west side and on Germany on its east side, it also borders a quiet river that runs along and through Maastricht. The city walls, once built to protect the citizens, now has only a few remaining reminders.
You may arrive in Maastricht for the museums or for the market, but Zohara and I enjoy just walking the streets and finding small gems or quiet corners that most tourist books will not mention.
We arrived there just during the season when Maastricht was gearing up for Easter, you can see the plate, upon plate here of colored eggs, all ready for Easter. Of course CHEESE can be found everywhere.
