Here at Slipe Pavlic it was so peaceful it was amazing. The rooms were clean and well appointed, although slightly small, but sufficient. There was a fully equiped small kitchen for cooking and we utilized the picnic table outdoors for all our meals. The husband and wife who own and run the place do not speak English, but their 15 year old son does (it was quite a treat for our 14 year old daughter ^O^)

Unique Qualities: As we were sitting outside the first evening the woman of the house came outside with some special sweet cakes that she had baked to offer us. We sat for more than an hour using her son as a translator, asking one another about our countries and our cultures. Then her husband came down from their home and brought a bottle of home made vodka that he generously shared with me. We spent a very plesant evening with these people and need to thank them for a great 3 day experience that they helped make much better.

Directions: Just outside Rakovica in the town of Grabovac, on the road to Plitvicka, turn left toward Irinovac, the house is about 1 kilometer after the turn. You can ask directions at the tourist information office in Grabovac or call and they will come pick you up.

The hosts here at Slipe Pavlic had constructed a small gazebo type structure out of Birch tree trunks and put a picnic table smack dab in the middle. We spent three evenings here and enjoyed each and every one of them, either with our hosts, who joined us on several occasions, or just enjoying the peacefulness of the area.
