Where, well the Padrao dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoverers) in Lisbon of course...
Why? well because most of the new world and seafarings were undertaken right from here.
Where, at the Cervejaria Trindade Brewery where Antonio took us for lunch and to "sample" the locally made brew. As you can see from the photo at least a few were enjoying not only the company, but the brew as well.
Where, Lisbon of course, where they wanted to showcase the wines of Portugal and generously offered all the VTers samples from the growing areas all over Portugal...
WHY?? its wine, need you ask.
AS you can see in the photo a few were sampling just a few samples too many ^O^
All these and many more reasons make Lisbon a good choice to visit. Well maybe some of THESE reasons !!!. Go on, take a look at the pages, you may find something you like, from a monastary to the pastries, or even the train or elevator....
- Pros:Lots of fun to be had, serious or otherwise
- Cons:For me as usual with metropolitan areas....
- In a nutshell:Well worth spending a week exploring

zrtin, Nice page, but your "Train and Tram in Portugal" T-logue seems to be double! PJ
