"So much to see in one small place..did I say SMALL" Queluz by Martin_S.

Queluz Travel Guide: 35 reviews and 164 photos

As with many of the palaces of Europe, I am totally blown away by the WASTE, all this for a single family. The saying goes "if you've got it, flaunt it", well here they did it totally as you will see from the photos. Yes there are many beautiful things, from the furniture in the smoking room, to the portrait of Don Quixote and the gardens with its artifical canal...overpowering at times.

One of the many, many rooms designated for whatever purpose, a Halberdier:

Noun: halberdier ,hal-bu(r)'deer
A guard who carries a halberd (as a symbol of his duty)

Yes I had to go look this up !!
