Restaurant Name: Alto Borgo
The Alto Borgo was an "accident". I mean that we usually choose to eat Spainish local dishes when in Spain...but here in Carmona we were looking for a place to dine the first evening there and we checked out Alto Borgo saw that it was Italian and began to walk away. Just our luck a gentleman was standing outside and asked us if he could help us. His name was Jose and he directed us to several local Spanish restaurants...we thanked him and went our way. As it turns out the other restaurants were packed at that hour, so we returned to Alto Borgo and entered. Jose was there as was his girlfriend Jo. We thanked him again and then a conversation began that was to last all night. We eventually invited them to have drinks and share dinner with us.
The owners, cooks, waiters, dishwashers, barman/woman, cashier are all two people, a man and wife, one from Italy and one from Japan who moved here to Carmona to open their dream. Would recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
Favorite Dish: The Italian dishes were excellent and in sufficient quantity that after dinner I did not feel the need to go to another restaurant to fill up.. also the "house wine", also from Italy, was a little high in price, but very good.
