The Feria de Abril (April Fair) as you just might have guessed is held in APRIL, surprised right ^O^
A week long PARTY....
It may well be the best time to visit Sevilla, not to mention Spain. It is an all out affair that lets you get up close and personal with traditional Spain. Here you can see the entrance arches which are rebuilt anew each year with a new design.

Here you can see the lines of Caseta's, or "little houses". Each one is opened by a private family or business (it may also be a trade union, a neighbourhood, or even a political party) to where they invite their family, friends and associates. There are also public Caseta's that cater to those of the public who do not have formal invitations to the private ones. I have heard tell that sometimes passerby get invited also into the private Caseta's, but it did not happen to us this trip.
Many, and yes I mean MANY of the visitors or participants in the Feria de Abril dress the part. From the gaudily adorned horses and carriages, to the beautifully attired women and childern and even the small children get dressed up in the traditional attire to "strut their stuff"....it is a celebration of color anyway you look at it.
- Pros:Fantastic and colorful experience
- Cons:You need to learn Spanish first for 100% experience
- In a nutshell:Visit in April for the fair, worth the wait and effort.
