"Toscana (or Tuscany)" Tuscany by Martin_S.

This year we decided to visit what is "advertised" as the most beautiful area in Italy, Toscana (yes where they made the movie "Under The Tuscan Sun", in a small town called Cortona). We very much enjoyed the countryside, the small winding scenic roads, the chianti wine for which it is famous and of course the food.

Many of the small villages that we enjoyed are not to be found in the VT database, so if you want to see a few of them, like the village where we rented a villa, take a look at Poggio alla Croce, it is right next door to San Polo in Chianti where we found a nice family restaurant.
