Tal's custom with policeman and Asli

I think you may have noticed if you have been following many of our family travels that where ever we end up, Tal finds a policeman or policewoman to have a photo with.
Here in Venice she took her pic with a Carabinieri (policeman) and we got Asli to go along with her. The girls look well protected by this guy. I wonder what he was thinking about us weird tourists ^O^.. If you happen to know this guy, please show him his picture and say thanks.

Feeding pigeons in the park Pigeons Review

Okay, well I guess this is not only a local custom, but the custom of almost everyone who comes to San Marco Square in Venice. There are as many pigeons as there are tourists. But you can see Tal and Asli feeding them with zeal. They bought packets of birdseed to feed them. These poor birds eat so much that they can barely fly, they waddle when the walk and they fly like a cooked goose, too heavy....

Fresh fruit

This is the first time I have seen this arrangement to keep the fruit both clean and fresh, try some.

Venice closed with rope

We found this shop, closed for the afternoon siesta. You can see that the only thing preventing entrance was a single rope across the dooorway. We looked inside, the shop was small and completely empty of people. I wish all people could be this sure of the honesty of those around them. How many of us even leave our doors unlocked when we are in our homes??
