When Lorenzo and Alsi invited us to Italy to be with them, one of the places that we decided on visiting was Venice. Now that we have been there with them, we need to go back and spend some more time with them there.
What would be a visit to Venice without seeing the world famous gondolas. But if you travel budget, then actually taking a ride on one of these is out of your reach.
The Rialto is one of the largest of the three bridges crossing the Grand canal in Venice. There are numerous water taxis that you can take a various points to cross or you can take the water bus.
- Pros:A city like no other in the world.
- Cons:Too expensive to stay there
- In a nutshell:A visit of 3-4 days is needed.

I agree--always take your children during your travels. It is a fabulous education!
Some good tips on my favourite Italian city.
Shalom. You have nice photos from Venice. Hope to see them myself soon. Greetings
it seems you had a fantastic time in Venice!
YES! Always take your children along during your travels. I do agree! Only for the education of other cultures and languages is one reason to do so. The smile on their faces is another. A site well done!
Beautiful Venice... I love that place and hubby has promised to rake me there again :))) Am I lucky or what???? :))) great page Martin
Venice is wonderful, isn't it...it's one of my favourite places. Martin, talk about coincidences...I see two notes on my Gozo page coming from people living in Israel :-) Interesting about the word Pomegranate. Anne
Martin I finally got back :-) Your page on Venice is great, all the tips are cool but I espeically liked the one about your daughter and taking your kids, your right that is a great smile :-)
