The ancient city of Asquelon (or Ashqelon) has been around for about 4,000 years. Today there is little remaining, only the Cannanite city gate remains in its entirety. The Basilica, the Santa Maria Church, and even the seashore fortifications have only a few lonely pillars or arches to show you where once stood great structures. You will need to use your vivid imagination here.
