Haifa, with it Mt. Carmel jutting above the city is most likely one of the most scenic of the costal cities. Here you can see the view from Mt. Carmel looking north along the coast.

German Colony, Haifa, Israel

This picture shows the entrance sign to the "Moshava HaGermanit", or the German Settlement. An area in Haifa that was originally settled by immigrants from Germany and retains the name until today.

Wadi NisNas metal sculpture, Haifa, Israel

This picture shows one of the many, MANY, statues, sculptures, wall paintings, or other art objects to be seen on the streets of an area called Wadi NisNas (a Wadi is a dry riverbed and the NisNas area is situated in an old riverbed, hence the name). Today this is an area that has many artist studios and some small restaurants. But it is a often used as a cultural musuem of sorts and you will find art competitions spreading out into the streets.
