Korazim Travel Guide: 10 reviews and 57 photos

Here at Korazim, perched on a small promnitory overlooking the northern edge of Lake Kinneret (Sea Of Galilee), you will find little left of what was once a thriving town. Enough remains to give you an idea of the bounty that was to be found here in ancient times.

The synagogue and the surrounding town was one, along with others in the area, that did not accept the teachings of Jesus...Some believe that its destruction was caused because of this.

Looking at an overview of the site you can see that the city was a "dark" city since all the buildings were constructed of a dark basaltic stone.
