"Bedouin Center and Lahav Forest" Lahav by Martin_S.

Lahav Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 6 photos

Here in the Lahav Forest near Kibbutz Lahav you will find the Joe Alon Bedouin Cultural Center. Being our largest cultural group here in the south it is imporant to understand more of their ancient culture. Many of us live side by side with Bedouin, work with them, but few take the time to learn of them. Only a very few Bedouin live in the Jewish cities of Israel, most live in one of several large Bedouin cities or in small family units in the middle of the desert. Some of the larger cities are Rahat, Hura, Lakia, Ksefa and Aroer.
You can find the Center by taking highway 40 south till the junction with highway 325 to Lahav, just as you reach the kibbutz there is a fork that takes you to the Center.
